The switch

What suits your situation?

Not every sales problem needs the same answer. Place yourself first; that makes the 30 minutes more useful.

The contact switch for three different starting positions What are you missing? Capacity or prioritisation? A: No in-house sales team Talk to DEALMAKERS B: Team, but no meetings Prioritise with signal system C: Recruiting, staffing or M&A Work with triggers The right answer depends on whether work has to be done or simply sorted better.
The switch separates missing sales capacity from a prioritisation problem and from use cases outside sales.

A. You do not yet have a sales team of your own

Then talk to us about tasks, target clients and handover. Sales outsourcing and our services show research, approach and appointment setting. At our end, experienced B2B salespeople make the calls, not staff trained at short notice with a script.

B. You have salespeople who lack meetings

Then what is often missing is not capacity but the order of work. Your CRM or scoring stays: fit and trigger are looked at separately, fresh public signals add to your master data. PrioX is the software we built ourselves and use; you can use it directly.

C. You are looking for executive search, recruiting or M&A

There, too, triggers decide the priority: a key role left open, a change of owner or a new site. Trigger-based prioritisation helps without replacing your system.

Preparation

What to have ready for the first call

You do not need a presentation. Five short answers are enough for a concrete conversation.

  1. Your offer in one sentence: what do clients pay for today?
  2. Your target clients: sector, role and size band instead of a long list.
  3. Your goal for the call: a meeting, an analysis, an offer or another next step.
  4. The route so far: what already works, what stays undone?
  5. An example of a typical assignment and the reason why it was won or lost.

If expansion, a new product line or a new team is coming up at your end, say so in the first call. That is the starting point. For sales consulting it also helps to sort the question: target clients, the conversation or the process?

Signal Based Selling means: the list does not decide who you call, the event does. This trigger-based approach uses publicly visible changes; you will find the framework in the signal catalogue. Only public sources are evaluated.

Existing lead scoring stays: fit describes the basic match, the trigger adds the present moment. Events age and need time windows of their own. For the top of the list, deep research then counts: a concrete first sentence instead of only a number.

Examples of triggers for a conversation

Publicly visible signal What it usually means Typical time window
A new head of sales is introducedResponsibility and priorities are being reorderedfirst 3 months
First sales role advertised for AustriaA market entry is being prepared2–8 weeks
New product line announced with a dateA matching pipeline must exist by the launchuntil the date
Several roles open in the same sales teamCapacity or a new sales target is being built up2–8 weeks
A new site is opened publiclyProcesses and suppliers are being reviewed1–4 months
Funding round or capital increase publishedPlans can be decided more quickly1–6 months
New pricing page or package model goes livePositioning and sales arguments are changing1–3 months
A new certification is announcedThe status reached is to be turned into demand1–4 months
Public tender with a deadlineA concrete need is documenteduntil the deadline

Examples, not a complete list.

Bespoke signals arise in each market: a framework contract running out, a certification lost, a change in a standard or the end of a subsidy. All that matters is whether they create a reason to talk about your offer.

An opening sentence could read: “Last week you advertised two sales roles in Vienna. How are you planning to approach the first target clients there?” Or: “Your new product line is announced for November. Is the list for the first conversations already in place?”

The list does not decide who you call, the event does.

How it runs

What happens in the first call – and what does not

We place your situation and examine the choice between external execution and better prioritisation. No pitch, no presentation.

From first contact to a clear next decision in four steps 1Call oremail 230 minutesto assess 3Agree the nextstep 4Offer if itfits No pitch, no slides: clarify the task first, then decide.
After the first contact the task is placed. An offer only follows if the form of collaboration really fits.

What we clarify

We clarify target clients, offer, trigger and the goal of the call. That shows whether a cold calling agency, building up sales or a sharpened order of work is needed.

What we leave out

No presentation about us, no blanket promise of success and no pressure to decide during the call. If the conditions do not fit, we say so. In any case you leave with a clearer description of your bottleneck.

What is clarified in the first call – and what is left out We clarify Targets Sector, role, size band Offer What clients pay for today Trigger What is on your agenda Call goal Meeting, review, offer We leave out No presentation about us No blanket success promise No pressure to decide during the call In any case you leave with a clearer description of your bottleneck.
Four points are clarified in the first call; everything else that usually belongs in a sales meeting is deliberately left out.

Answered briefly

Short FAQ

How quickly will I hear back?

If you call and we are not available at that moment, we call you back. If you write, we reply within one working day. A slot booked in the calendar is confirmed straight away; if we need to ask something first, that question also reaches you within one working day. For a first assessment you do not have to prepare anything lengthy.

Does the first call cost anything?

No. The first call takes 30 minutes, is free and commits you to nothing. In it we clarify whether you really lack external sales capacity or whether better prioritisation inside your existing team is the more suitable lever. An offer is only drawn up once the task is clear and a sensible next step is visible.

Do I have to prepare any documents?

No. It helps to have your offer in one sentence, the target clients you want to reach and an example of a typical assignment. If you already have a presentation, a target list or CRM scoring, you can bring these in later. For the first call, notes and a concrete look at your current situation are enough.

Do you also work outside the DACH region?

Our catchment area is Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Whether an approach beyond that makes sense depends on language, target market and offer. In the first call we check first whether the DACH region is cleanly defined and whether there is a comprehensible trigger for approaching target clients there.

What happens after the first call?

If the task fits, we record the target group, the trigger, the goal of the call and the roles on both sides. After that we review the starting position and define the next step, for example working together in sales or sharpening your prioritisation. If the task does not fit, we say so clearly. There is no automatic engagement and no pressure to decide.

Why is there no contact form?

A form often collects details without settling the actual question. Phone, email or a fixed calendar slot lead faster to a conversation with context. You decide yourself how directly you want to start. So that we can prepare, your offer, your target clients and the trigger currently on your agenda are entirely sufficient.

The two routes after the first call First call held The task fits Target group, trigger, call goal and the roles are recorded Review the situation Define the next step The task does not fit If the task does not fit, we say so clearly No automatic engagement, no pressure to decide An offer only follows once the task is clear and a next step is visible.
There are two routes after the first call – and the second ends with a clear no rather than an offer.
